Our Therapists

About Josh, Your Couples Therapist

Struggling to connect in your relationship? Feel like your conversations go in circles? If you find it hard to get your point across or feel misunderstood, I’m here to help. My two-fold mission is simple: to guide you out of those sticky communication traps and equip you with the skills to avoid them in the future.

What I Can Do For You

I offer more than just a listening ear. My goal is to create a space where you can freely express your thoughts and feelings, knowing that your partner genuinely wants to hear you. Equipped with practical tools and strategies, you’ll be able to tackle relationship challenges and foster a fulfilling, loving partnership.

Why I Do It

My background includes a lot of work with children, and I’m passionate about helping young people feel valued and loved. However, I realized that helping adults become better communicators directly influences their ability to be great parents. So, I pivoted towards couples therapy to create positive ripple effects within families.

When I’m not a Good Fit

I pride myself on being upfront and honest with potential clients. While I am highly skilled in couples therapy and emotional growth, there are areas where I am not the best fit. Specifically, I am not the best therapist for individuals dealing with active addictions, such as gambling and substance abuse. The complexities of active addiction often require specialized treatment that I am not trained to provide. If you fall into this category, I recommend seeking a therapist who specializes in addiction therapy.

My Expertise

I specialize in Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), a research-backed method that fosters deep emotional bonds between partners. In a safe, welcoming environment, I guide couples to explore their feelings and build a loving connection. It’s within this secure space that true healing and personal growth occur, enabling you to be the best version of yourself for each other and your family.

I’m also working on my certification in Sex Therapy. I want your relationship to involve more than just stressful communication. By being clear about how sex (or a lack of sex) is affecting your connection, we can make your relationship even stronger.

About Ashley, Your Personal Growth Therapist

Feel like things are not changing for the better? Do self-doubt and past experiences hold you back? As a committed individual therapist, my primary goal is to help highly motivated individuals like you get out of their own way and unlock their full potential.

How I Empower You

I’m not about offering band-aid solutions. I aim to provide you with effective, long-lasting tools. That’s why I’ve specialized in Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), an evidence-based approach designed to help you process traumatic memories to diminish the emotional sting. The goal is not just to help you cope, but to transform the way you view your life and experiences. I also will use skills and concepts from Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) to promote mindfulness, improve interpersonal skills, and manage emotional distress.

Why I Chose This Path

I believe that we all have the potential to be our best selves; sometimes we just need a little help getting there. ART and DBT are powerful tools that can rapidly help you redefine your experiences and shape a new narrative for your life—one that serves you rather than limits you.

My Unique Approach

Through the utilization of ART, we’ll work together to defuse the emotional charge of your memories, enabling you to view your past through a more empowering lens. By recontextualizing these experiences, you will be better positioned to navigate current challenges and build your ideal future. DBT concepts bring in reframes on the way you experience your emotions, improving your ability to identify and express your emotions.
